REPORT FROM THE COMMISSION TO THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND THE COUNCIL on the implementation of Council Regulation (EU) No 608/2013
1. This Document reports on feedback gathered by the Commission on the implementation of Regulation (EU) No 608/2013 (the Regulation) since 1 January 2014 by Member States. The Report states that the Commission considers the Regulation to be working satisfactorily and concludes that there is no justification for revising any of its provisions. Accordingly, the Report contains no proposals for legislation.
2. The purpose of the Regulation is to give customs the power to stop goods, suspected of infringing an intellectual property (IP) right at the EU external border, to give right holders the opportunity to enforce their rights.
