Council Implementing Regulation implementing Regulation (EU) No.269/2014 concerning restrictive measures directed against certain persons, entities and bodies in view of the situation in Ukraine.
1. The proposed Council Decision and Council Implementing Regulation amend the Council Decision 2014/145/CFSP and Council Regulation (EU) No.269/2014 concerning restrictive measures in respect of actions undermining or threatening the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine.
2. On 13 March 2017, the Council Decision (CFSP) 2017/445 and Council Implementing Regulation (EU) 2017/437 extended the restrictive measures which impose an asset freeze and travel ban directed against 150 persons and 37 entities: “responsible for, actively supporting or implementing, actions which undermine or threaten the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine, or stability or security in Ukraine...”. These restrictive measures were extended for six months until 15 September 2017.
