1. On the 26th November 2014, the European Commission announced the Investment Plan for Europe which aims to facilitate investments across Europe following the global economic and financial crisis. One of the key objectives of the Investment Plan for Europe is to promote a stable and clear regulatory environment for investment by removing barriers both at a national and European Union (EU) level.
2. On the 30th September 2015, the European Commission published its action plan for a Capital Markets Union (CMU). Capital Markets Union is a flagship project for the Commission, which is part of its wider push for jobs and growth in the EU.
